KLO is now using the Parent Portal for digital Written Learning Updates

High school and Middle School Parents have access to the Parent Portal. Benefits of using the Parent Portal are:

  • Parents can easily access their child's Written Learning Update (Report Cards). It is recommended to download and save these reports as they are only available for a small time frame.
  • Increases the security and privacy of student information - documents are stored and accessed on a secure server as opposed to being sent out via email or paper.
  • Parents can view attendance, as soon as entered by the teacher.
  • Parents can review demographic information and emergency contacts. If incorrect, parents can contact the school via email for changes.
  • Parents can email teachers by clicking an email button and view student schedules.
  • Parents can view previous transcript records and comments

First Time Login Information:

The Highschool/Middle School will create your parent portal account. You will be receive an email from sysadmin@myeducation.gov.bc.ca which will look like this:

A user account has been created for you.

Welcome to the Central Okanagan Public Schools #23 PARENT PORTAL which will allow access to see grades, attendance and other information on your student(s).  Each parent or guardian will have their own separate account.

Login

To Access the parent portal system:                                                                                       

  1. Visit https://www.myeducation.gov.bc.ca/aspen
  2. Make sure popups are enabled for your browser
  3. Your user name will be: fam23firstname.lastname
  4. Your temporary password will be a generated password (NOTE:  Both user name and password are case sensitive.)
  5. Enter your user name and password then click Log On to access the system.  You will be prompted to change your password and fill out some information so that in future you can click "I forgot my password" to receive a new password.

Once inside the Aspen Go parent portal system you can navigate around to view information for your student(s). When Written Learning Updates and Student Schedules are posted you will find it under Published Reports.

Enter your personal login and temporary password. It will tell you that your password has expired and you need to create a new one. This new password will require a Capital, Lower Case Letters, A Number, A Special Symbol and at least 8 characters long.
